What is Kahuna?

            Kahuna Massage is an ancient Polynesian form of bodywork. Originating from Hawaii, Kahuna Massage (known also as Hawaiian Temple Style Bodywork or Lomi Lomi) is unlike anything you have ever experienced! It is a beautiful transformational healing system.

What to expect?

            Prepare to experience new wonders! Kahuna bodywork is unique in many respects:

            The practitioner uses their hands, forearms and elbows, working with energy while applying soft and deep tissue massage with rhythmic, flowing and gentle movements.

            During the massage the practitioner will show you how to focus your attention on your breath. Each inhalation offers a chance to draw fresh energy and each exhalation, an opportunity to dissolve tension, to let go of anything that limits you, and to deepen your experience of relaxation.

            Music is played and the practitioner attunes the flow of the massage to the unique rhythm of the client. The rhythm of the four elements (fire, earth, water and air) is used during the session to harmonise in all levels - physical, emotional and spiritual. The result is deep relaxation and beautiful healing effect.

Kahuna bodywork is a powerful form of healing that affects people differently. In the days following a massage, you might experience a range of emotions as various energies are still shifting. There is no need to worry. Simply observe your emotions and let them flow. The healing, cleansing and re-balancing effects can be felt for weeks after the treatment. It is important to drink plenty of water after a massage as this assists in the detoxifying process.
